A Vision in Flip Flops

To know me is to know that I am addicted to shoes. My closet (as well as my husband’s) is filled full of the cutest styles in every color from every price point. And, with exception to the most beautiful pair of Chanel peep-toe pumps that still remain in their black iconic box, I boast the most serious attachment to flip-flops. So much so, that I’ve been known to remark that I would wear flip-flops year-round if the weather permitted.

Unfortunately, we all know how damaging the wearing of flip-flops can be. Suddenly, my adorable size 5’s are under siege of Mother Nature’s conditions: the abrasive grit of sandy beaches wreak havoc on my tender soles, creating deep cracks and peeling heels. Not entirely desirable… and, baring the softness of sandpaper, I’m afraid.

To survive the cruel elements that summer so kindly offers and to be able to sport flip-flops (sans deep cracks and peeling heels; see above), regular pedicure treatments are a must. And, for this, a visit to Rouge Beauty Lounge is in order.

While obviously packed full of decadent pampering (sumptuous pedicure thrones, deliciously fragrant scrubs and lotions), the treatment, truthfully, is practice of good personal hygiene. For

both women and men. By sloughing off old, dead skin cells, by thoroughly moisturizing and trimming nails appropriately, feet transform from the gnarly looking, and sometimes painful, into a much cleaner, fresher, prettier version.
